IPE Champions: The Senators, The Company and New Event Corps

Over 400 Indoor Percussion fans were able to enjoy top percussion on Saturday March 19th during the fourth edition of the IPE European Championships in Tournai (B). In the "Hall des Sports" IPE showcased the exhilarating performances of the most elite and exclusive indoor percussion ensembles in Europe! 12 competing units, a very interesting Percussion Showcase of Paul Rennick and two fantastic performances (standstill and full show) of the University of North Texas Concert and Indoor Percussion Ensemble. The result: Huge standing ovations from the 400 spectators that had come to Tournai. 

New Event Corps (B) were the only competitor in the European Marching Class. The Company (UK) blew away the competition in the Concert Class with a record high score of 93.25! 

In the International Marching Class seven strong units competed: Senators (UK), DrumSpirit (B), European X (NED), Unik Star (FRA), Percussion Unlimited (NED), GOT MOTION (SWE) and DNG (B). Senators topped the International Marching Class with a record high score of 92.50. DrumSpirit took silver (82.33) and Got Motion took the bronze (78.00). European X ended in fourth place (74.50), Unik Star ended in fifth place (72.33) Percussion Unlimited ended in sixth place (68.33) and DNG ended seventh (49.50)
